Help us celebrate our longest-standing local businesses
The Wandsworth Business Legacy scheme is a celebration of businesses that have helped shape the borough over the years.
We are inviting residents, customers and members of the local community to nominate businesses that have been trading in Wandsworth for 25+ years. This could be a much-loved shop, restaurant, market trader, pub, professional/trade service or creative maker that has made a lasting contribution to its neighbourhood.
Businesses that have been trading locally for 75+ years or more may also receive a special Heritage Legacy acknowledgement – recognising their exceptional longevity and contribution. Businesses can also nominate themselves.
This inaugural scheme is our way of thanking the businesses that have supported generations of residents, contributed to our high streets, local economy and remained part of the community through changing times. It also encourages residents to discover and continue supporting local businesses.
A panel will review all eligible nominations and select up to 12 businesses to be recognised. Selected businesses will be invited to a special reception, where they will be presented with a certificate recognising their longstanding contribution to the borough. They will also be acknowledged at the Wandsworth Business Awards in June 2026.

You can nominate your own business or a business you know. Businesses may receive more than one nomination, but the number of nominations received will not determine the final selection.
Together, we’ll shine a spotlight on the local businesses that have been at the heart of our communities for decades, recognising their success, resilience and lasting contribution to borough life.
